Market Extension's founder Berend van Hemel (1966) obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Groningen University in The Netherlands. Subsequently he studied Spanish and worked for the publisher Time Warner in Mexico.
He has obtained extensive experience in (European) online marketing and business development, both on a strategic and hands on level.
He has performed business development and marketing management projects in travel, finance, real estate, information technology and media. Berend has been involved in a range of projects for over 40 companies which include French media company Vivendi, Dutch bank ABN AMRO, Dutch telecommunications company KPN, American portal About.com, the Dutch lottery, Google and a range of smaller companies and start ups. He has extensive experience in the online aspects of the property sector.
He has generated real measurable results, in some cases resulting in turnover for his clients in access of 50 mln euros per year.
He speaks English, Dutch, Spanish and German and can read a French newspaper.
